Ghanshyam Talaviya

Ghanshyam Talaviya, originally from Amreli, Gujarat, laid the foundation of Maruti Enterprise in 1994. What began as a regional film distribution firm soon emerged as a significant player in Gujarat’s entertainment sector. Between 1994 and 2014, the company distributed over 100 Hindi and English (Hindi-dubbed) films across Gujarat, including international hits like Gone in 60 Seconds, Rush Hour, Independence Day (1996), and Snakes on a Plane. I...n 2014, Maruti Enterprise took a major leap by setting up its own production and post-production studios in Ahmedabad. This expansion allowed the company to transition into full-fledged filmmaking services, handling everything from television and advertising projects to regional cinema. Over the years, the studio has post-produced more than 100 Gujarati films, with critically and commercially recognized titles like Last Chance (2017), Jo Baka, Love U Baka, Maa, and Meghdhanushya. The studio’s technical expertise was acknowledged at the Rajasthan Film Festival 2016, where it received the Best Film Editor Award for its work on Hiwda Me Fute Laddu. Apart from production and post-production, Maruti Enterprise is also actively engaged in acquiring and selling film rights, contributing to the broader film economy. In recognition of his consistent contribution to the industry, Ghanshyam Talaviya was elected as a member of the Indian Motion Picture Producers’ Association (IMPPA) in 2022. He also holds membership in the Chamber of Motion Picture Producers (CHAMPP), Mumbai, further cementing his place in India’s professional film fraternity. TMDB mini biography by: Ashvin Borad
