Đường Tuấn Ba
People's Artist Đường Tuấn Ba (1927 in Kon Tum province - 1 June 2020) was a Vietnamese cinematographer. He joined the resistance army against French colonists at the age of 15, then for nine years worked various jobs in the propaganda department, all the while developing a passion for photography. He studied cinematography at the National Center for Cinema and graduated in 1968. After 1975, Đường worked at the Tổng hợp Film Studio of Ho Chi Min...h City (now the Liberation Film Studio). He is acclaimed for his camera work in the films of director Nguyễn Hồng Sến: "The Abandoned Field: Free Fire Zone (Cánh đồng hoang, 1979); "The Whirlwind Season" (Mùa gió chướng, 1978); "Clod of Soil" (Hòn đất, 1983);... Throughout his career, Đường Tuấn Ba filmed a total of nearly 90 films, including 22 feature films, 45 DVD films and nearly 20 documentaries as well as recordings of cải lương (reformed music) plays.
