Camilo Argimón

Camilo Argimón (born 6 May, 1997) is an Uruguayan filmmaker, writer, director assistant and occasional photographer. In 2015 he studied for a degree in Languages ​​and Audiovisual Media at the Instituto Escuela Nacional de Bellas Artes (IENBA) and specialized in audiovisual media at the Instituto Superior Polo Educativo Tecnológico (LATU). He directed and co-wrote the short films Cuscus (2018) and The Hares Dream (2019) with Daniel Borges. In ad...dition to serving as director and screenwriter, he was in charge of directing several short films, including Petricor (2017), which he also co-wrote with Daniel Borges, Paprica (2017), Unknown Number (2019) and the student feature film La gran historia (2018). He was part of the young jury at the Piriapolis Film festival, and coordinator of different projects, including the video clip Limbo, used as an input in more than 20 schools and high schools to work on the theme of recent memory in a didactic way, and Ars Music, a cycle of musical sessions with local artists. These last two projects were carried out together with the Ouroboros collective, an artistic collective of which he is a part.
