Luigi Veronesi - Double Feature

Luigi Veronesi

Luigi Veronesi (1908-1998), was a famous Italian painter, protagonist of abstract research in Italy between the two wars. He continued to elaborate the rigorous, kaleidoscopic geometric configurations of his debut in paintings, engravings or bas-reliefs. His interest in investigating the relationships between sounds and colors through the visual transposition of musical frequencies has also informed his work as a set designer, as well as that of experimental filmmaker, Italian pioneer of painting directly on film. In 1983 he was awarded the Feltrinelli prize of the Accademia dei Lincei for painting.
