Clélia Schaeffer
Born in 1990 in Avignon, Clélia Schaeffer graduated from the Image Department of La Fémis. She works as a cinematographer and director in both documentary and fiction. In 2016, her short film Le Printemps was selected for the national competition at the Clermont-Ferrand Festival. In 2018, she directed Vie scolaire, a 52-minute documentary produced by Les Batelières Productions and LCP Assemblée Nationale, which was selected for the International... Festival of Educational Film. In 2020, her short film Dix ans was selected by several festivals, including Côté Court in Pantin, Paris Courts Devant, the Oberhausen International Short Film Festival in Germany, and the Women Film’s Festival in Portugal. In 2022, she directed Devenir gardien de la paix, a four-episode documentary series (26 minutes each) on police training. Produced by Morgane Production, the series will be broadcast on France 5 in 2023. That same year, she directed Sortir de l’ombre, a documentary on the reintegration journey of former inmates, produced by Les Batelières Productions.
