Staged in a large outdoor courtyard inside Finland's Olavinlinna Castle, the production features German singer Franz Grundheber in the title role and Finnish opera singer Matti Salminen as Daland, a Norwegian sea captain whose daughter Senta (Hildegard Behrens) is the love of the Dutchman's life.
