Mahesh, a 'low' caste migrant farmworker, has his world shattered when his wife is brutally murdered by the village head, Pradhan Ji. His 10-year-old son, Mohit, struggling with his mother's death, faces bullying at school, leading him to a violent confrontation and a bloodied shirt. As Mohit walks home, the villagers notice him washing off the blood and later implicate him when Pradhan's daughter goes missing. Mahesh realises they must escape to save their lives. As they watch their home go up in flames, the broken family is forced to take on a harrowing journey of survival.
