Sri Kustina was a popular singer at a nightclub. She married Hasan who turned out to be a gambler and a drunkard. This habit persisted even though she had two children, Didi and Aminah. Due to Hasan's carelessness, Didi died after being hit by a car. Sri then divorced Hasan and returned to work at the nightclub. Hasan often appeared to blackmail her with threats.
