Playground Magic was born from the frustration of feeling confined to the familiar--trapped in places we've grown accustomed to, where it seems like all you see is all you know. The idea behind the title comes from the notion of bringing magic to the places we visit, transforming them into a playground. The premise of this film is to travel across different regions of the United Kingdom, using magic as a medium to build deeper connections and meaningful relationships. I've always believed that magic is one of the most powerful tools to open people up and gain a deeper understanding of who they are. Many of the individuals you'll see have never experienced being on camera, let alone magic. Nothing in this film was staged, and no actors were used. This is magic in its rawest form, by Billy Menezes and Louis Dobson.
