Part I features OSAMU, a self-proclaimed urban legend detective who collects information on urban legends as a hobby, and Akiko Inui, a physics student at Teito University, who, with the advice of former genius scientist Shiro Kazato, attempts to solve the mysteries of numerous urban legends; Part II features DJ Shunichi Murakawa of the popular FM radio program "Out of Urban Legend" who pursues urban legends with urban legend otaku P Mikio Hattori.
